La Fleur Mystique: Design Inspiration and Size Guide

There’s a hush in the air... A flicker of candlelight dances across velvet upholstery. The distant echo of piano keys drifts from a hidden Parisian café, mingling with the clink of silver spoons and the rustle of tulle skirts. A woman sits in the corner, her gloved hand poised on a porcelain cup, her gaze unreadable. She is elegance. She is mystery. She is La Fleur Mystique.

Kitten D'Amour's latest collection is born of shadows and glamour—an intoxicating blend of moody Parisian nights and masquerade ball opulence. It’s an invitation to step into another world… one where beauty always comes with an edge.

The Femme Fatale: Cinema’s Most Alluring Enigma

At the heart of La Fleur Mystique lies a tribute to the femme fatale—cinema’s dark-hearted darling. In the smoky, high-contrast world of 1940s and 1950s film noir, the femme fatale reigned supreme. She wasn’t the girl next door. She was the woman who knew exactly what she wanted… and exactly how to get it.

Think Barbara Stanwyck in Double Indemnity (1944), draped in silk and sin, her blonde curls as calculated as her every glance. Or Lauren Bacall, with that low, sultry voice and a gaze that could stop time—as unforgettable in To Have and Have Not (1944) as she was in The Big Sleep (1946).

There was Gene Tierney in Laura (1944), all haunting beauty and elusive charm, and Jane Greer in Out of the Past (1947), cool and poised, but never to be underestimated. These women lit up the screen not with innocence, but with intelligence. Power. Presence.

La Fleur Mystique: A Collection of Quiet Drama

La Fleur Mystique brings the spirit of the femme fatale into the modern age—designed for women who walk with purpose and dress with intent.

The silhouettes are classic 1950s: nipped-in waists, full skirts, and lines designed to flatter and intrigue. But it’s the details that hold the story: sensual black lace, velvet ribbon trim, and faux fur accents so soft they belong in a dream.

There is a coat so dramatic it could have stepped straight from the silver screen—a rich, sumptious purple trimmed with mauve faux fur at the collar and cuffs. The kind of coat you wear when you want the world to wonder where you’ve been… and where you’re going.

A full-skirted dress gathers softly at the bust, cinching the waist and swirling out, emphasising your hourglass figure. The ‘La Fleur Mystique’ Skirt—full, flowing, and trimmed with decadent black lace—makes every step feel like a scene change. Paired with a matching blouse or the swoon-worthy Fluff Cuff Top (yes, it’s as delightful as it sounds!), the effect is nothing short of theatrical.

The La Fleur Mystique print itself is a scene straight out of a midnight reverie—a black base scattered with moody blooms in shades of rich purple and deep blue. It’s the kind of print that draws you in slowly… the longer you look, the more you see. Perfect for winter, it pairs beautifully with the collection’s deep jewel-toned accents. And for those sweeping maxi silhouettes? They’re crafted in a luxurious cotton silk that moves and feels divine.

Slip on a design from 'La Fleur Mystique' and suddenly you’re not just dressed… you’re staged. A walking film still, ready for your close-up.

The collection’s tops are made for transformation: wear them with opera-length gloves and a birdnest skirt for your very own femme fatale moment… or dress them down with a pair of Kitten Denim jeans for a moody evening at the cinema, where you might just catch your reflection and think, “Yes, this is the look. Feminine? Always. Dangerous? Only when necessary.”

There’s a subtle theatricality woven throughout the collection—garments that belong as much on a Parisian boulevard as they do beneath the chandeliers of a grand masked ball. The palette is rich and romantic, heavy with inky blacks, midnight florals, and jewel-toned accents that shimmer just slightly in low light.

This collection doesn’t shout. It whispers. And trust us, Kitten… it knows exactly what it’s doing.

And now, in true silver screen fashion, the Kittens of Kitten D’Amour step into the spotlight to reveal their favourite designs from 'La Fleur Mystique', sharing their fit notes, styling tips, and a few secrets worthy of any starlet.

Tammy Kitten (Bust 86cm / Waist 64cm / Hip 91cm / Height 161cm)

‘La Fleur Mystique’ Maxi Dress - Size 8
This beauty has no stretch, and Kittens! It's the most luxurious silk cotton! This gown plays it straight, but the silhouette? All drama! I sized up and glided like a noir heroine headed for the final scene.

Tammy’s Tip: If you value comfort, size up. I added two tea-length petticoats for added volume. The length is luscious, the fit impeccable, and the cut? To die for!

‘La Fleur Mystique’ Full Dress - Size 8
This little number is the leading lady! I sized up for a touch more comfort—especially through the bust. The bodice is sculpted, the fit is firm, and the silhouette is positively spellbinding.

Tammy’s Tip: Fuller busts or lovers of drama, take note: a size up delivers all the glamour without losing an inch of elegance. Double petticoats? Non-negotiable. You’ll float like a dream!

‘La Fleur Mystique’ Full Skirt - Size 8
Though I could zip up the 6, I chose the 8 for a touch more comfort and grace—especially with my shorter torso. The fit sits just right, cinched at the waist and flaring like a film finale.

Tammy’s Tip: If you want a bit more ease at the waist, I suggest that you size up. That velvet bow and lace trim aren’t just details… they’re show-stoppers!

‘La Fleur Mystique’ Camisole - Size 8
As silky and smooth as a well-delivered alibi! I went with the same size I wear in the Joie De Vivre camisole and it was perfection.

Tammy’s Tip: If you know your fit in Joie De Vivre, this beauty will follow suit. Pair it with a bold red lip and a knowing smile.

Millie Kitten (Bust 94cm / Waist 68.5cm / Hip 103.5cm / Height 160cm)

‘La Fleur Mystique’ Classic Full Dress - Size 6
A vision from another time… this divine dress fits like a dream. For me, the size 6 was absolute perfection—cinched at the waist, smooth through the bodice, and just sheer enough to turn a few heads (or break a few hearts). The fabric catches the light in the most beguiling way… soft, floaty, and just a touch mysterious.

Millie’s Tip: The sheer material adds a whisper of allure, and the fit is impeccable! I didn’t need to size up or down—just slipped in and felt like the main character.

‘La Fleur Mystique’ Coat - Size 6
For those who favour their silhouettes sharp and their entrances unforgettable… this coat delivers both. I found the size 6 perfect for a cinched, fitted shape—elegantly tailored to the waist. Slipping it on over a petticoated skirt gave the hem a dramatic, full sweep that felt straight out of a film noir finale.

Millie’s Tip: Though the faux fur collar adds a touch of glamour, I prefer mine without—more Grace Kelly on the Riviera, less Russian winter. Either way, the structure and flow of this piece are nothing short of cinematic.

‘La Fleur Mystique’ Wiggle Dress - Size 6
This little number hugs the hips and bust flawlessly. There’s just the tiniest bit of room at the waist, thanks to the subtle stretch in the velvet (a dream for late-night dinners or clandestine escapades). The long sleeves add warmth and elegance, making it the perfect choice for winter soirées—or power moves on chilly afternoons. It’s giving femme fatale in full bloom.

Millie’s Tip: A sultry silhouette with just enough give to keep you comfortable and dangerous. A velvet knockout for the cooler seasons.

‘La Fleur Mystique’ Full Dress - Size 6
Oh, the drama of this dress! The fit is firm and ever-so-flattering, hugging just where it should with a whisper of stretch at the waist—enough to keep things comfortable as you sip champagne or deliver a perfectly timed quip. The bodice? Divine. Structured to shape, and oh-so-romantic. And the skirt is full, swishy, and ready to steal scenes. I felt like I belonged on the arm of a 1950s leading man… or perhaps sweeping out of a mysterious rendezvous.

Millie’s Tip: If you love your waist defined and your silhouette smouldering, this one’s a star performer.

Naomi Kitten (Bust 89.5cm / Waist 68.5cm / Hip 108.5cm / Height 163cm)

‘La Fleur Mystique’ Wiggle Dress - Size 8
Now this is a velvet affair worthy of a silver screen siren. Naomi found it hugged in all the right places—body-loving without being clingy, and the stretch? Positively sinful. No shimmying or shuffling required here... she could strut straight into any scene, unrestricted.

Naomi’s Tip: Confidence is key. This one’s made to turn up the heat—don’t be afraid to let it.

‘La Fleur Mystique’ Camisole Top - Size 8
This little printed number fits just like a dream. It skims the waist and cradles the bust just so. Naomi noted the fit was just right... no tugging, no tucking, just a flawless silhouette and plenty of room for a dramatic entrance (or exit).

Naomi’s Tip: Style with the matching skirt and an arched brow. You’ll turn heads without even trying!

‘La Fleur Mystique’ Maxi Skirt - Size 8
A skirt designed to swish and sway with every step. Naomi adored how it sat perfectly at her waist before cascading down in elegant cotton silk tiers. Whether she’s arriving fashionably late or twirling at twilight, the movement is as mesmerising.

Naomi’s Tip: Don’t underestimate the power of a good swish. Add heels to amp it up, or flats for daytime mischief.

‘ La Fleur Mystique’ Classic Dress - Size 8
“A dress I can’t fault,” she told us—and who are we to argue? With soft, sumptuous fabric, sheer romantic sleeves, and that plunging neckline, this piece had Naomi feeling like a starlet. It cinched her waist just so, while still giving her curves their due.

Naomi’s Tip: For extra drama, add a red lip, a martini glass, and just one devastating look over the shoulder.

Kerryn Kitten (Bust: 95cm / Waist: 80cm / Hip: 110cm / Height: 168cm)

‘La Fleur Mystique’ Day Dress - Size 10
Oh, my stars… this dress is the stuff of old-Hollywood dreams! The bodice is sculpted, the waist deliciously snatched, and the skirt has just enough structure to command a double-take. I wore mine with two petticoats for maximum va-va-voom—and oh, what a silhouette!

Kerryn’s Tip: If you’re between sizes, consider sizing up—but personally, I couldn’t resist the drama of a tighter waist. The sleeves are a touch snug, but not enough to spoil the mood. This one’s a showstopper. Don’t even think twice.

‘La Fleur Mystique’ Maxi Dress - Size 10
Feminine, flattering, and just a little mysterious… this gown feels like silk against the skin—and that’s because it is. A divine cotton-silk blend, with no stretch and a fit that’s structured through the bust. A little firm on top for me, but worth every sultry step.

Kerryn’s Tip: If you’re fuller in the bust, you may wish to size up—but if you’re like me and enjoy a little drama in your décolletage, stick to your usual. It’s pure screen siren glamour from neckline to hem.

‘La Fleur Mystique’ Camisole - Size 12
Versatile, darling! I chose to size up for a looser, more relaxed fit—perfect for pairing with my Kitten Denim (or that dreamy Tulle Skirt). Floaty, romantic, and oh-so-easy to wear. I will also style it with Palazzo Pants for a soft, film-star sophistication.

Kerryn’s Tip: This one’s a chameleon. Dress it up or down, tuck it in or let it loose—there’s no wrong move here. If you’re between sizes, pick your fit based on how you plan to style it. I like mine with a little room to move.

‘La Fleur Mystique’ Full Skirt - Size 12
I dance between a 10 and 12 in Full Skirts, but in this beauty, the 12 was perfection. It sits just right on the waist, and with two petticoats underneath? Darling—it’s a silhouette worthy of the silver screen. The velvet bow and lace trim are a decadent little flourish.

Kerryn’s Tip: If you’re in-between sizes, you may enjoy the extra comfort of the 12. Especially when you’re going full volume with petticoats. Because let’s be honest—sometimes, more is more.

Kay Kitten (Bust: 79cm / Waist: 65.5cm / Hip: 91cm / Height: 172cm)

‘La Fleur Mystique’ Full Dress Size 4
Kay Kitten wore her usual size across all the designs in this collection and found the fit to be true to size, but definitely on the firm side! The fabric has minimal stretch, so if you’re in between sizes, she recommends sizing up for comfort.

This dress? Yes, I’ll take it all. One in every colour, please. The fabric, the fit, the silhouette, Kay Kitten doesn’t know if she wants to wear it or frame it!

‘La Fleur Mystique’ Maxi Dress Size 4
Kay and Millie Kittens tried on their designs together, and the moment she slipped into the Maxi Dress, Millie exclaimed, “You look like an actual doll!”

Kay Kitten felt like a doll, too! She adores the ultra-flowy, dreamy nature of this dress. It beautifully frames her décolletage and fits snugly around her bust. She does recommend sizing up if you have a fuller bust for the most flattering and comfortable fit. And it's cotton silk! So luxurious!

‘La Fleur Mystique’ Classic Dress Size 4
This Classic Dress is breathtaking. The flowy sleeves paired with it’s structured, cinched-in waist AND the flared skirt?! Kay Kitten was left speechless.

This dress is a must-have. It’s the ultimate all-occasion dress. You can dress up for a romantic dinner, or dress it down for a glamorous grocery run! Because honestly, who needs a reason to wear Kitten D’Amour when you can wear it just because?

Oh— And how could she forget to mention just how SOFT and comfortable this entire collection is?! ❤️

Jackie Kitten (Bust 79cm / Waist 71cm / Hip 101cm / Height 164cm)

‘La Fleur Mystique’ Classic Full Dress (Purple) - Size 8
Now this is a dress with presence. My favourite in the entire collection. I slipped into my usual size 8 and it fit like it was written in the stars—comfortable, sculpted, and ready for a moonlit waltz.

Jackie’s Tip: The sheer, lightweight fabric and floaty sleeves catch the light like something out of a silver screen daydream. With its delicate cuff and easy, all-season wear, this piece is pure glamour—no matter the weather or the storyline.

‘La Fleur Mystique’ Maxi Skirt - Size 8
This elegant cotton silk maxi glides over the hips with a whisper of structure and just enough drama. I chose my usual size 8 for a fitted silhouette that would stop traffic, but if you're craving a more ethereal look—I’d recommend sizing up.

Jackie’s Tip: No stretch here, sugar—but the fabric is beautifully soft and light. It drapes like a dream and finishes right at the ankle for that classic, cinematic length. I paired mine with the new Cowl Top—effortless and elegant.

‘La Fleur Mystique’ Full Dress - Size 8
A neckline that flatters, and a silhouette that means business. I wore my regular size 8 and found the fit to be just right—though I did notice the sleeve was a little snug. Nothing dramatic… and certainly not enough to size up.

Jackie’s Tip: Double the petticoats, double the impact. I styled mine with two -  feminine, polished, and perfect for daylight drama.

‘La Fleur Mystique’ Coat - Size 8
Darling, this coat doesn’t walk—it arrives. I took my usual size 8 and found it warm, flattering, and endlessly chic. The kind of coat you wear when you're plotting something—romantic, of course.

Jackie’s Tip: The removable faux fur collar and cuffs add a dash of decadent intrigue… soft as velvet and twice as elegant. Wear it with the fur for late-night glamour or without for daytime strolls. Either way, it’s a show-stealer.

Adrienne Kitten (Bust 110cm / Waist 93cm / Hip 119cm / Height 169cm)

‘La Fleur Mystique’ Coat - Size 16
“LOVE!!!!!!!!” With a capital L. Adrienne sized up for layering room and couldn’t get enough of the colour—it’s a glorious alternative to black. And that faux fur trim? A total showstopper. This coat makes an entrance.

Adrienne’s Tip: Prefer a layered winter look? Go up a size and feel the glamour. This coat is divine, whether worn open or cinched at the waist... fur and all!

‘La Fleur Mystique’ Full Dress - Wearing Size 14
A true bombshell in bloom. Adrienne adored the sleeve design—flattering without cutting in—and found the 14 ideal for her bust. While she would’ve loved the waist-cinching effect of the size 12, the 14 gave her a smoother fit up top. A supportive bra makes all the difference!

Adrienne’s Tip: Curvier in the bust? Size up and let the bodice bloom to its full potential!

‘La Fleur Mystique’ Classic Dress - Size 12
Aubergine elegance at its finest! Adrienne declared this one a straight-up 10 across the board. The chiffon danced beautifully over the shoulders and bust—graceful, elegant, and endlessly wearable.

Adrienne’s Tip: True to size with glorious movement—if you love a touch of drama and classic styling, this one’s for you.

‘La Fleur Mystique’ Wiggle Dress - Size 12
“Oh my Kittens—the sleeves!!” Adrienne swooned over this velvet vision. With its slinky silhouette and just the right amount of stretch, she felt confident and oh-so-sexy in a size 12—even though she’d normally lean toward a 14 or 16 if the fabric didn’t give.
And the velvet? A resounding yes, please.

Adrienne’s Tip: If you’re blessed with curves and adore stretch, this wiggle wonder will fit like a glove and feel like a dream.

‘La Fleur Mystique’ Maxi Dress - Size 14
This one was a heartbreaker. Though she wanted to fall head-over-heels, Adrienne found the bust tight—especially for fuller figures - this cotton silk blend doesn't stretch. She recommends sizing up and pairing it with a belt to reclaim that silhouette! The skirt, however, flows like a fantasy, and the bust design is elegant when it fits just right.

Adrienne’s Tip: Busty beauties, size up for comfort. Add a belt and you’ll be swanning about like a silver screen siren.

Ashlee Kitten (Bust 87cm / Waist 64cm / Hip 91cm / Height 173cm)

’La Fleur Mystique’ Classic Dress – Size 8
My usual size, and a flawless fit—she hugged the waist with just the right amount of sway. I’ve danced with full skirts that gap and droop, but not this one. No ma’am. This one held its shape, swirling chiffon and all. A classic? Darling, she redefined it!

‘La Fleur Mystique’ Wiggle Dress – Size 6
A curious thing happened when I met this velvet number… I sized down. The stretch is divine! I often find sleeves run short, but these long sleeves—with thumb holes, no less—were the perfect flirtation of form and function. A winter stunner, through and through.

‘La Fleur Mystique’ Fluff Cuff Top – Size Small
Slinky, stretchy, and oh-so-easy to love. My standard size Small gave a snug fit, but there’s enough give to flirt between sizes without losing the drama. A top so good it deserves a spotlight and an encore. (I may have purred a little when I put it on…)

‘La Fleur Mystique’ Maxi Skirt – Size 8
This one’s a slow burn. I can move between a 6 and a 10 depending on the cut, but the 8? She sat just right. Graceful drape, even with flats—but when I slipped on a heel? She really turned heads. With a longer inseam like mine, that’s no small feat. She’s a cotton silk scene-stealer!
